The tPOT – towards People Oriented Technology - Research Group is part of the Dublin Institute of Technology's College of Engineering and Built Environment and the Environmental Sustainability & Health Insitute (ESHI). The group spans DIT's engineering campuses but most of our researchers are based in the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering in Kevin St. and in Green Way building in the recently-developed Grangegorman campus. The group was established in May 2007, consolidating its members' ongoing research into smart technology that interacts with people or with the human body - what we call People Oriented Technology (POT). The group's activities include research and lecturing in Biomedical Signal Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, Assistive Technology, Health Informatics and User Centred Design.
